Director of Online Content Acquisition
The Director of Online Content Acquisition is responsible for all aspects of the organization’s business development and partnerships for content acquisition. Treedia Labs is the leading developer of feed-based media technology and brands such as Podcast.com and Videocast.com.
Responsibilities include:
- Act as a business partner for the vendor of online content and provide sound strategic and tactical advice on partnership initiatives
- Provide strategic direction for Business Development and manage the effectiveness and efficiencies of the group to ensure all financial and strategic objectives are met
- Develop and leverage relationships with Online Content Vendors that incorporate their solutions into our technology
- Structure and negotiate partnership agreements with complex licensing or pricing options. Build strategic partnership teams
- Develop detailed operational plans with partners to include sales targets, marketing materials and joint collateral
- Act as liaison between partner and all departments by facilitating information exchange with Online Content Vendor partners
- On-going management of strategic partnerships
- Other duties as assigned by management
Reports to:
VP of Business Development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales or related field required, MBA preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in Internet-focused business development and sales
- Working knowledge of financial modeling
- Must possess excellent intellectual and analytical problem solving and decision making skills to identify effective long-term strategies, make appropriate adjustments as necessary, develop compensation plans, sales goals, and conduct business development analysis
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, be capable of working as part of an executive team, effectively; and work in a cross-functional environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills
